History:

The library of the college started operating in 1948-1949 at the same time as the establishment of this college under the name of the Faculty of Literature and Humanities in the fields of history, geography and Persian language and literature. In 1990, the Faculty of Literature and Humanities was divided into two faculties of literature and foreign languages ​​and the faculty of sciences. human and social were separated and the libraries of the two faculties continued their activities independently. With the development and expansion of academic fields, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences was again separated into three faculties in 2013, namely Geography and Planning, Law and Social Sciences, and Economics and Business Management. Currently, the library is serving the clients under the title of Faculty of Planning and Environmental Sciences.

 

Library location:

The library is designed in two floors, the first floor includes reading rooms for students and the library resource search section, and the second floor includes a repository of Persian books, reference section, Persian publications, Persian theses, donated books, research projects and technical services. be The library is managed as an open shelf and all bibliographic information can be searched through Pars Azarakhsh library software.

 

The mission of the library:

The main mission of the library is to support the educational and research programs of the faculty. The library collection should be a reflection of new information sources in the subjects of teaching and research and should be able to expand along with the developments in the educational and research programs and activities of the faculty.

 

Criteria for selecting information sources:

The selection of information resources is based on the educational and research needs as well as the cultural needs of the faculty. The up-to-dateness of the resources, the quality and scientific authority, the good reputation of the publisher and creator, and the apparent quality of the book are among the things that are taken into account when preparing the resources. The evaluation of these sources is based on the opinions of faculty professors, librarians and respected students.
